A Disney Cruise is the perfect family vacation. There is truly something for everyone! A cruise is an indulgent vacation with fantastic food and drink, and many opportunities to relax and pamper yourself. Here are a few of our favorite ways to spoil yourself on your Disney Cruise!
In-Room Gifts on Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line has a wide variety of stateroom gifts you can order before your cruise to be delivered while you’re on the cruise as a fun extra! You can order food such as Mickey-shaped cakes or chocolate covered strawberries, or a fruit basket. Adults and kids alike will love the in-room decorations, too! You can order pirate decorations, birthday decorations, or even holiday decorations at certain times of year. There are also wine/ romance packages for you and your significant other (or alone, we’re not judging). A bottle of champagne to toast “Bon Voyage” during sailaway from your balcony sets the tone for a perfect vacation!
Senses Spa
Nothing says “vacation” like a great spa experience, from the cushy robes to the heated seats in the Rainforest Room at the Senses Spa onboard the Disney Cruise Line. Massages are one of my favorite ways to pamper myself! Besides massages, Disney Cruise Line has many great experiences to feel like a princess from head to toe! The Rainforest Room is a limited access area (so it is never too crowded!) where you will find steam rooms, saunas, fun scented showers (hot, cold, and various showerheads) and stone lounge chairs. For the ultimate in luxury book a Spa Villa to enjoy (among other things) a tea ceremony, bathing ritual of your choice, and a foot cleansing ceremony along with your private verandah and personal whirlpool.
Adult Only Areas on Disney Cruise Line
Enjoy the adult areas! Each Disney ship, and their private island Castaway Cay have adult only areas to really relax. If you are traveling with children, you can drop them off in the Oceaneer Club/Lab or leave them with other family members you can enjoy a relaxed (and usually fairly quiet) time on the ship in the Quite Cove Pool or the Cove Café. Nighttime is just as fun (but louder!) with the nightclubs and lounges on the ship. Castaway Cay has a fantastic, relaxing, private adults only beach called Serenity Bay. You can lounge all day in a Cabana or chair, even get a massage on the beach- now that’s luxury!
Palo/Remy
The two specialty dining restaurants are Palo (all four ships) and Remy (Dream/Fantasy only) Both are adult only, and both charge a fee above your cruise fare, but wow, is it worth it! These restaurants are the absolute best in fine dining. Choose from brunch on sea days or dinner any night of your cruise.
Book a Suite
I admit I enjoy the suite life immensely! The Concierge level service is incredible. One of the best things you don’t usually think about is the private embarkation and disembarkation- no waiting on elevators! The Concierge hosts use their bypass codes just for suite guests to whisk them directly to their floor. While onboard the suite lounges (Dream/Fantasy) are so elegant you can’t help but feel pampered all day.
