The Disney parks and cruise ships offer fantastic chances to get engaged, get married, or honeymoon in glorious Disney magic!
Get Engaged!
There are countless fun ways to propose at Walt Disney World- from just getting down on one knee anywhere to an elaborate scene where a flash mob comes out and a groom-to-be surprises the unsuspecting intended with a grand proposal right in the middle of Main Street, USA!
You could propose on a beach (my friends Ben and Katie got engaged on the Polynesian Village Resort beach during the fireworks), or at a dining location (at Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest) or even just drop to one knee in front of the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom or in front of the margarita stand at Epcot! Or on a Disney Cruise Ship! It can be anywhere!
For a truly customized experience (do you want Mickey Mouse to appear with your ring box in hand?) you can get the Disney Engagement Planners to really go all out for you. Custom experiences are pricey- they start at $7,500- but can truly make your proposal an incredible experience. To start planning your custom proposal call (321) 939-4610, Option 4.
If you need a ring, Disney has you covered there too! With ring designs inspired by Disney princesses, “Enchanted Disney Fine Jewelry allows every woman to beautifully express her inner Princess”. Visit the link above for jewelry styles and a store locator . (Sara treated herself to their Cinderella Carriage earrings!)
Get Married!
Now you’re engaged! Congratulations! The wedding planning can officially begin! Disney Fairy Tale Weddings can help your dream experience come true. You can tie the knot in Walt Disney World or Disneyland, or even in Aulani or on a Disney Cruise Line ship, or on Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas. My friends Brock and Brent got married on the Disney Fantasy and they loved that they were able to have their wedding and honeymoon near their closest family and friends.
Just as with the proposal, Disney Weddings can be customized for all your desires. It can be a simple ceremony on a beach or in a gazebo to an elaborate gala in front of Cinderella Castle. And of course their amazing photographers and cake decorators and caterers will be able to work with you to make your special day one that you’ll never forget.
If you’d like the Disney touch with stationary and invitations Disney has you covered there too. The Disney Bridal Boutique has invitations starting at about $2.00 per invitation.
Honeymoon!
Even if you don’t have a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding, you can still have a Disney Honeymoon! My husband and I honeymooned at the Wilderness Lodge and on the Disney Wonder. It was amazing!
Family and friends can help you with your honeymoon dreams at https://disney.honeymoonwishes.com/. You can set an account and what you’d like, just like any bridal registry. Items include theme park tickets, carriage rides, or special tours (such as the Wild Africa Trek or Dolphins in Depth). Even an Adventures by Disney honeymoon can go on your registry!
Don’t forget to contact Disney Floral and Gifts for a romantic surprise in your hotel room!
Renew Your Vows!
After a few years you can renew your vows! Monica and Gary renewed their vows in the Disney Wedding Pavilion, but just as with a first wedding you can renew your vows anywhere, land, sea, beach, in or out of the parks.
You can request a free brochure at https://www.disneyweddings.com/ or call the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding team at (321) 939 – 4610. On March 2, 2019 Disney is hosting its annual Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings Showcase if you’d like to get all of your questions answered. Registration just opened up and you can register here.
